In this exciting full service design/build project we designed and built our clients their Vermont dream home from the ground up. Avid horse enthusiasts, the homeowners purchased this Woodstock, VT property for a second home and its close proximity to the Green Mountain Horse Association. However, upon careful inspection, we determined the property’s existing residence was beyond repair and that starting fresh made the best sense. After demolition, we moved ahead with full site work including siting the new home to capture the best views of the Green Mountains, as well as siting the horse barn and new septic.

 A single story floor plan (featuring thoughtful details like a curbless shower) was ideal for our clients, with a generous walkout basement for hosting guests and grandchildren. Beginning on the exterior, we worked closely to select everything from the homeowners’ preferred windows to siding to roofing and landscaping details. We then turned to the interior to choose kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, flooring, tile, lighting, fixtures and appliances, and even the paint colors and furniture in the homeowners’ design style: a classic, clean look with dramatic pops of color. We captured this to perfection with a custom floral backsplash in the kitchen!
